The Program Delivery Engineer at Quintessential Design Service Ltd (QDSL) will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end delivery of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) programmes from concept through to production launch. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management, and leadership skills to ensure successful vehicle programme execution. Responsibilities include working closely with cross-functional teams—engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and suppliers—to drive programme objectives, resolve technical issues using AIMS and 8D processes, manage programme metrics and dashboards, and act as a key contact for programme-related issues. The role also involves conducting system and component-level reviews using tools such as RMDV (Requirements Management & Design Verification), RDS (Robust Design Scorecards), and DFMEAs to ensure engineering robustness. Candidates must ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements, manage engineering changes, track programme blockers, support supplier validation, facilitate design maturity reviews, and provide regular reports to leadership. The engineer will also support prototype, pre-production, and launch phase vehicle builds. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, experience in program/project management within automotive or related industries, knowledge of BEV systems and vehicle integration, and familiarity with tools like CCDS, RMDV, and DFMEA. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. The role offers a competitive salary based on experience, UK work visa sponsorship for eligible candidates, pension scheme, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), and the possibility of hybrid work arrangements.
