The Principal Systems Development Officer (Business Analyst) in the university’s Software Development Department is tasked with analysing the business requirements of various university departments, recommending new software or enhancements to existing systems to improve efficiency and productivity, developing test plans, supervising testing processes to ensure software quality and reliability, and improving the procedures across the entire student life cycle—from Admissions through Enrolment to Graduation. This role utilises Agile Scrum for workload planning, incorporating internally developed and third-party applications, delivering functional software in iterative cycles, collaborating with stakeholders to capture evolving needs, and implementing user-friendly interfaces and streamlined workflows to enhance the experience for applicants, students, and staff. The post offers 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and closed days, and may be eligible for visa sponsorship (subject to Home Office salary thresholds).
