The Francis Crick Institute, Europe's largest biomedical research institute, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Project Research Scientist to join the McTernan Lab for a full-time, fixed-term position of 18 months based in London. This role is designed for a highly motivated and skilled individual with a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Supramolecular Chemistry, Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis, or a closely related field, and a strong background in organic synthesis. The successful candidate will lead pioneering research at the intersection of chemistry and biology, contributing to the development of targeted lipid nanoparticles and supramolecular drug delivery systems. This position involves designing and synthesizing bespoke lipids, developing libraries of targeting groups, formulating lipid nanoparticles, conducting cellular testing, and collaborating on in vivo testing alongside a team of expert colleagues. You will also be expected to contribute to broader research efforts in the lab, support junior colleagues, and actively participate in maintaining a collaborative and innovative environment.
