The role involves leading the design and development of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) and advanced III-V photonic components while collaborating with academic and industry partners to drive breakthrough innovations. The candidate will be responsible for setting the technical direction of major projects, exploring new applications of III-V photonic and IC technology, and influencing internal technology and product strategies. They will define and implement advanced approaches for design, simulation, and characterization, ensuring seamless project execution by closely working with teams across Design, Process, Fabrication, and Test. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in photonics, with expertise in the R&D of key photonic devices such as laser diodes, modulators, detectors, amplifiers, and fiber-based technologies. A deep understanding of III-V optoelectronic device physics, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and epitaxy methods is crucial, along with hands-on experience in the design and characterization of optoelectronic devices, including DC and RF analysis. A PhD in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field is required.
