The Performance Test Engineer at Quintessential Design Service Limited (QDSL) is responsible for conducting performance attribute tests, troubleshooting vehicles, and analysing and reporting results across various vehicle architectures and powertrains. The role focuses on on-track and on-road performance attribute and features testing for xHEV and BEV vehicles, supporting Lead Engineers in delivering competitive vehicle performance. The engineer will be involved in setting up test vehicles, ensuring proper instrumentation and data logging, executing physical tests, troubleshooting, analysing test data, and preparing reports. The position requires strong technical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining precision and evidence-based engineering practices. Candidates must hold a degree in engineering or a related field, have experience in vehicle testing, high-voltage systems, and data acquisition tools, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, well-organised, results-driven, and passionate about applying engineering principles in hands-on testing environments.
