The Performance Test Engineer at Quintessential Design Service Limited is responsible for conducting on-track and on-road performance attribute tests, troubleshooting vehicles, and analysing and reporting results across various vehicle architectures and powertrains. The role focuses on xHEV and BEV vehicles, supporting Lead Engineers to ensure competitive performance. Key responsibilities include setting up test vehicles, ensuring correct instrumentation and signal logging, executing physical tests, troubleshooting vehicle and measurement toolchain issues, processing and visualising test data, evaluating and logging performance features, producing test reports, and handling unscheduled or urgent test requests. Candidates should have a degree in engineering or a related field, experience in vehicle testing including high voltage systems and dynamic tests, experience in test data acquisition and analysis, and a valid driving licence with a safe driving record. Strong presentation, communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are required. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-driven, capable of working independently, able to combine short-term pragmatism with longer-term planning, and passionate about applying engineering principles to solve technical problems.
