Aston University is offering an exciting opportunity to join its technical team as an NMR Facility Technician, where you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of research activities across Engineering and Physical Sciences as well as Health and Life Sciences. The role requires a customer-focused individual with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will have strong knowledge of NMR Spectroscopy and be responsible for providing training and support to users of the facility, including postgraduate research students, post-doctoral scientists, master’s students, and academic visitors. Alongside training responsibilities, you will also support experimental solution NMR service work and carry out maintenance of the facility’s NMR machines to ensure their smooth operation. The position provides the chance to contribute directly to Aston’s vibrant research environment while developing your technical expertise and working closely with researchers at different stages of their careers. This role may also meet the requirements for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, with eligibility assessed for shortlisted candidates.
