This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior MEMS Design Engineer to join an Edinburgh-based team that is at the forefront of developing microphone solutions for some of the world’s most well-known consumer devices. As part of the client’s Semiconductor business unit, the role focuses on high-end research and development in MEMS microphone technology, involving the design and development of MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) from initial concept through to final production. The MEMS Design Engineer will be responsible for modeling structures both analytically and using industry-standard simulation tools such as COMSOL, and will collaborate closely with engineering teams based in Hong Kong and Singapore to ensure high-performance, scalable solutions. This position can be offered at either Senior or Staff Engineer level depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field and must have experience designing MEMS devices and test structures. Knowledge of simulation tools like Spice, Cadence, or Matlab is desirable, and hands-on experience using COMSOL or other FEA (finite element analysis) platforms is considered a strong advantage.
