The Mechanical Engineering Technician (DUNE) role at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is an excellent opportunity to contribute to world-class scientific and engineering projects within the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s Mechanical, Metrology and Technical Engineering Group at Daresbury Laboratory. This position focuses on the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) and also involves contributions to other leading international programs such as CERN LHC and PiPII. The successful candidate will utilise advanced mechanical engineering skills in precision assembly, vacuum systems, cryogenics, and cleanroom environments. Applicants are expected to have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or possess equivalent hands-on experience, preferably supported by an ONC or higher qualification in a relevant discipline. The role offers a salary of £32,773 per annum along with a £5,000 specialist allowance, 30 days of annual leave, an excellent pension scheme, and flexible working arrangements.
