The UCL Energy Institute is seeking a Lecturer in Energy Systems and Data Analytics to specialize in data analytics, machine learning, and AI applications in energy management across buildings, transport, and smart infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to energy systems modelling, smart infrastructure, and energy management, focusing on descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. They will teach students how to use data analytics for sustainable cities and buildings, incorporating machine learning and data-driven approaches across sectors and services. Additionally, the role involves collaboration with researchers from environmental sciences, engineering, economics, and social sciences to address complex energy and sustainability challenges. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of publishing high-quality research in academic journals and working with energy industry stakeholders, governments, or NGOs on sustainability and lifecycle management of energy systems. The successful candidate will also contribute to UCL’s MSc and BSc programs in Sustainable Built Environments, Energy and Resources, and Energy Systems and Data Analytics.
