The Aston School of Computer Science and Digital Technologies is seeking two Lecturers in Computer Science with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence to strengthen its research and teaching in this area. The successful candidates will be expected to teach across a range of subjects within computer science and/or cybersecurity curricula while also contributing to Aston University’s ambitious digital technologies strategy, which directly enhances both research and teaching opportunities. The school is currently undergoing growth in research activity and student recruitment across the digital sciences, including computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data science, offering an exciting environment to build a strong academic career. Candidates will have the opportunity to conduct research within the school itself or through one of the University’s leading research centres or institutes such as the Sir Peter Rigby Digital Futures Institute (DFI) or the Aston Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Application (ACAIRA), with further options available depending on individual research interests, including collaboration with the Institute for Forensic Linguistics for those specializing in Natural Language Processing.
