The position requires hands-on experience with test automation using tools like dSpace, ControlDesk, Automation Desk, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, AVL PUMA, and Git, and a strong understanding of power-level 3-phase motor emulation and high voltage systems. The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, coordinate tools and equipment, and drive innovation in test methods and efficiency, while collaborating across multiple time zones. Essential qualifications include a degree in electrical, electronic, or software engineering and a minimum of 3 years of automotive powertrain experience. Desirable attributes include familiarity with regulatory compliance for electrified vehicles, FPGA modelling with Xilinx, and strong knowledge of component and system-level testing, EMC, environmental testing, and APQP/FMEA processes.
