An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced System Safety Engineer to join GE Aerospace's UK Safety Team in Cheltenham. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and performing system safety assessments across a variety of innovative projects focused on Avionics and Power products. You will contribute to the development and execution of strategies that ensure compliance with international safety standards such as SAE ARP4761, MIL-STD-882, and DEF STAN 00-56, while applying advanced engineering principles to conduct fault tree analyses, common mode analyses, and generate safety requirements that shape safe system designs. With a strong background in aviation safety and civil certification (14CFR-25, CS-25, etc.), you will also bring excellent leadership and communication skills, working closely with senior stakeholders and mentoring junior engineers.
