The Lead Rig Engineer / Rig Director at GE Aerospace is responsible for overseeing high-power aircraft electrical test rigs, ensuring the safety of the test team and equipment. This role involves assessing risks, enforcing best practices within the lab environment, and maintaining electrical infrastructure for aircraft power system testing. The engineer will mentor and develop team members, ensuring technical competency across the team. Candidates should have proven experience with complex AC and DC electrical test systems, a thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations, and an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent vocational experience. Knowledge of BS7671 regulations and aircraft power sources such as IDGs, APUs, RATs, and Batteries is essential.
