Social Security Scotland is seeking a Lead Application Operations Engineer to join its Applications and Platforms team within the Chief Digital Office. The role focuses on managing and supporting critical government business applications and ensuring system reliability and performance. The successful candidate will lead a team of senior engineers, handle complex incident management, and oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and configuration of enterprise systems across cloud and on-premise environments. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving issues across Windows, Linux, networking infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and AWS cloud services while implementing ITIL-based service management practices and continuous service improvement strategies.
