About the job

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a KTP Research Associate with expertise in mathematical modelling and fluid mechanics to lead an innovative Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between the University of Glasgow and Quanta Dialysis Technologies Limited, tackling the challenges associated with traditional dialysis treatment. The role involves leveraging Quanta’s unique capability for fluid pulsation to pioneer the development and optimisation of mathematical models for novel flow modalities within dialysers, with the aim of enhancing, sustaining, and reducing the cost of treatment for acute and chronic kidney disease. The Research Associate will work closely with Quanta’s experimental and software teams, as well as academic supervisors at the University of Glasgow, to integrate modelling practices into standard processes, facilitate effective knowledge transfer, optimise treatment modalities, and transform them into ready-for-market technology. This position offers the chance to lead your own project, apply academic knowledge to solve real-life medical challenges, and shape the future of academic research in dialysis technologies, while benefiting from bespoke training, mentoring, supervision, and a personal training budget. The post is full-time, based primarily at Quanta’s Warwick site, with a salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience and qualifications, funded for 24 months, and may be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under UK visa rules.
