This role is a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between the University of Leeds and SR Mailing Limited, offering a unique opportunity for a Master's graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field to fast-track their career by leading a strategically important project. The successful candidate will be based in Manchester at SR Mailing Limited, a company committed to sustainable packaging through customer-centric innovations and a data-driven model. You will apply machine learning, data analysis, visualisation, and Python programming skills—especially in large language models (LLMs)—to embed an LLM-enhanced approach to data analysis that will transform standard industry practices. The project aims to enhance customer understanding, meet evolving needs, and accelerate business growth. You will be integrated into the company’s R&D team and supported by academic expertise from Leeds University Business School. Access to university resources and development support, including a £4,000 Personal Development budget and formal KTP training, is included. The post is full-time, fixed-term for 24 months, with a salary of £32,000 to £40,000 per year. This position may be eligible for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Global Talent visa routes, depending on applicant circumstances.
