Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Junior Telecoms Infrastructure Engineer to support the maintenance and management of over 180 technical spaces, including data centres and communication rooms across the Trust. The role includes escorting and supervising third-party engineers, patching and maintaining network points, installing and configuring IP and analogue phones, managing UPS systems, PDUs, and environmental sensors, as well as handling equipment stock control. You will work both independently and as part of a team, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, resolving issues to ensure minimal service disruption, and maintaining documentation to the highest standards. The position involves risk assessment, auditing, and ensuring that all technical spaces meet industry standards such as ISO/IEC and TIA. You'll also assist in maintaining technical infrastructure, including data cabling, access control systems, and telephony equipment, ensuring all work adheres to health and safety regulations and ITIL processes. This is a hands-on, full-time permanent role based in London, ideal for someone enthusiastic about developing technical skills in a high-impact healthcare environment. Training will be provided, and visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates under the Skilled Worker route.
