Viridien is seeking a highly motivated HPC Hardware Engineer to join their UK Data Centre team. The role involves development, implementation, and support of High Performance Computing infrastructure, including hardware maintenance of CPU/GPU servers, oil-immersion and air-cooled servers, storage systems, and interactive servers. Responsibilities include lifecycle management, data centre operations such as rack cabling, audits, documentation, and service management through incident, problem, and change management processes. The role also involves collaboration on system and application deployments, technical meetings, and troubleshooting activities. Candidates should have a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields with 2–3 years of experience, strong Linux knowledge, IT literacy, excellent communication skills, and a proactive learning mindset. Experience with HPC system architecture, systems administration, scripting, and open-source monitoring tools is preferred.
