Orbex is seeking an experienced Harness Design Engineer to join the AIT team, responsible for design, development, integration, and validation of electrical wiring and interconnect systems for launch vehicles. The role includes creating detailed 2D schematics and 3D harness routing, ensuring compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620/ECSS-Q-ST standards, selecting connectors, cables, shields, and grounding protections, developing harness topologies and electrical distribution strategies, generating BOMs and assembly drawings, coordinating with other departments for integration, performing harness validation and integrity checks, participating in design reviews, and carrying out detailed FMEA hazard analyses. The position requires hands-on experience in aerospace harness design, testing, and integration, along with knowledge of EMC/EMI requirements, DfMA principles, and relevant standards.
