The Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst at the University of Glasgow provides analytical expertise to support the Cyber Risk and Assurance Manager and the wider Information Security Team. The role focuses on the deployment and maturity of the Information Security Control Framework, maintaining a catalogue of risks and control processes, responding to audits and funding requests, and supporting the growth of Information Security Risk Governance and Compliance activities. The postholder will analyze data from security monitoring systems, identify risks in legal and contractual documentation, coordinate risk management forums, and work with stakeholders across the university to improve risk practices. They will provide clear reporting and communicate technical security risks to non-technical audiences, support procurement processes, and ensure compliance with internal and external security standards. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, experience in risk and governance frameworks, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, diverse technology environment. This full-time position may be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for candidates requiring UK work authorization.
