An opportunity has arisen for an experienced System Safety Engineer to join GE Aerospace’s UK Safety Team, where you will be responsible for leading and performing system safety assessments across a range of projects to help bring to market GE Aerospace's industry-leading avionics and power products. You will develop and execute innovative development strategies, become a recognized expert in this specialized field, and demonstrate a passion for system design. Additionally, you will mentor others in the field, while ensuring compliance with safety requirements and supporting the design and safety objectives of the systems. This role requires a solid background in aviation safety engineering, knowledge of civil certification requirements, and experience in safety analysis techniques such as Fault Tree Analysis, Common Mode Analysis, and generating safety requirements. Ideal candidates should have a degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience, and be familiar with international standards such as SAE International ARP4761, MIL-STD-882, and DEF STAN 00-56. You will also have the opportunity to apply your engineering fundamentals and safety engineering principles to a wide range of products.
