Tracer, a high-growth, London-based startup backed by $3M in funding, is seeking a Founding Product Engineer to help revolutionize bioinformatics through advanced observability tools for high-performance computing. This on-site role in London offers visa sponsorship for exceptional candidates, with a competitive salary between £60K–£110K and significant equity (0.5%–1%). As the Founding Product Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, building, and launching every user-facing web and mobile experience from the ground up. You will be responsible for full-stack development, working with technologies such as Next.js, TypeScript, Vercel, AWS, and Clickhouse, managing everything from backend integrations to real-time observability dashboards and advanced data visualizations. This opportunity is perfect for someone with 3+ years of experience in full-stack development who is passionate about creating production-grade systems independently and shaping the foundational engineering standards of a company. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams, and have autonomy over deployment, scalability, and system architecture. Bonus experience in Clickhouse, Rust, or early-stage startups is welcome, but not required. Applicants must submit a portfolio or GitHub link, along with a brief write-up of their most impactful technical achievement. This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer ready to take ownership, make meaningful impact, and grow with an exciting, mission-driven team. Visit www.tracer.bio to learn more.
