Scope is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its fast-growing team in London, where you'll be at the forefront of delivering AI-powered solutions to enterprise clients. As the first hire in the deployment team, you’ll work directly with customers to implement, scale, and optimise Scope’s platform, acting as a bridge between product, engineering, and customer success. This is not a typical engineering or consulting role – you’ll own the end-to-end process of deploying cutting-edge AI technology across complex organisations, unblock implementation challenges, run workshops, gather user feedback, and spin up prototypes to ensure smooth rollouts. You’ll travel to client sites across the UK, Europe, and beyond, visiting large industrial facilities like ammonia plants and manufacturing sites, to understand user pain points and drive real-world impact. You should be highly proactive, comfortable working in ambiguous environments, and capable of figuring out the 20% of effort that drives 80% of results. The ideal candidate has experience in enterprise SaaS, customer-facing technical roles, or early-stage startups, and familiarity with technologies such as Typescript, NextJS, NestJS, and Python. This role offers a salary of £80,000–£120,000 plus equity, visa sponsorship for top global talent, and the opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered industrial automation from Scope’s in-person office in Covent Garden, London.
