The FMA (Failure Mode Avoidance) Engineer at Quintessential Design Service Ltd will play a critical role in ensuring robust engineering design and product assurance throughout the development lifecycle of propulsion and mechatronic systems. The ideal candidate will lead the creation, application, and review of Design FMEAs (DFMEAs), facilitate cross-functional FMEA reviews, and drive the implementation of risk mitigation strategies aligned with design and functional requirements. The role demands 4–8 years of relevant experience in engineering fields such as automotive or aerospace, with deep knowledge of failure mode analysis, risk assessment tools, and quality systems such as APQP and ISO standards. Candidates must be skilled in FMEA platforms (e.g., IQ-FMEA, APIS IQ), problem-solving techniques, and structured validation methodologies. Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills are essential, as the engineer will influence multiple teams to adopt a culture of quality and prevention. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering is required, and additional certifications in FMEA or Six Sigma are desirable.
