Astroscale UK is seeking a skilled Flight Software Validation & Verification Engineer to join its busy flight software team, focusing on verification and validation of embedded real-time software for orbital debris missions, including the ELSA-M service. The role involves designing and implementing test cases, supporting test environments and simulators, coordinating with subsystem teams, and contributing to software solutions for satellite onboard computers. Candidates should have strong experience in real-time embedded systems (C/C++), Python programming, software V&V in the space industry, Git, ECSS standards, and commonly used communication protocols such as PUS, CCSDS, CAN, and Spacewire. Additional desirable skills include VxWorks/RTEMS platforms, CI/CD pipelines, UML, Linux administration, and development of QT-based interactive software.
