This is a senior executive leadership role at the Bank of England, serving as the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Executive Director responsible for the Bank’s data collection, analytics strategy, and central data services that support decision-making across the organisation and UK Government. Reporting to the Deputy Governor for Monetary Policy and the Chief Operations Officer, the CDO will lead a team of 230 people and oversee the delivery of a multi-year data transformation programme, including cloud-based enterprise platforms, AI integration, and organisation-wide data fluency. The role involves leading data governance, producing regulatory and statistical data, managing advanced analytics initiatives, and delivering over £20 million in transformation projects. As a member of the Bank’s senior executive team, the CDO will contribute to the overall leadership of the institution, represent the Bank externally, and play a vital role in building a modern, data-centric environment. This full-time position is based in Leeds or London, includes flexible working options, and offers a competitive salary along with a strong benefits package.
