This is a highly technical opportunity for an ESD Engineer to join a global semiconductor client based in Edinburgh, UK, with visa sponsorship and relocation assistance available. The ESD Engineer will play a critical role in designing and optimising I/O circuits and ESD structures, as well as characterising and modelling I/O libraries for mixed-signal design flows, contributing to the development of advanced CMOS circuits for multimedia products. Reporting to the ESD Manager in the US, the engineer will be the sole ESD expert in the UK, offering autonomy and the potential for future leadership as the UK team expands. The position is open to either experienced ESD specialists or analog IC designers eager to develop in ESD. Candidates must hold a BSc or MSc in Electronic Engineering or a related field and have strong knowledge of ESD circuit design for chip protection, IO design including CMOS, ESD and latch-up requirements, physical verification, and characterisation.
