The Engineering Project Manager role at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is a senior-level position based in London, offering a competitive salary between £54,320 to £60,981 per annum. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the end-to-end management of large-scale, multimillion-pound engineering projects, overseeing all stages defined by the RIBA Plan of Work, from concept design and planning through to construction, commissioning, and completion. This role demands strategic leadership and technical expertise, as the postholder will be responsible for directing both internal multidisciplinary teams and external contractors to ensure that project objectives are achieved within scope, time, and budget. A key element of the position involves robust financial oversight, including cost forecasting, contract management, and ensuring value for money throughout the project lifecycle. In addition, the Engineering Project Manager must ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations and compliance standards, including those related to health and safety, environmental sustainability, and infection prevention and control within healthcare environments. Stakeholder engagement is crucial, as the individual will liaise with clinical leaders, operational managers, suppliers, estates teams, and other departments to facilitate seamless project delivery that supports the trust’s wider strategic goals. The role offers a unique opportunity to lead transformative infrastructure projects at one of the UK’s most prestigious NHS trusts, making a direct impact on the delivery of world-class healthcare services. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled project professional with a background in engineering, healthcare infrastructure, or estates management who is seeking a meaningful and challenging role within the public sector.
