Monzo Bank is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams, including Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Senior Engineers, in an organization of around 20-30 people. The role focuses on providing technical leadership, driving delivery outcomes, and fostering a high standard of engineering excellence across teams while supporting and developing best-in-class talent. You will collaborate with cross-functional squads, including Product Managers, backend, web, and mobile engineers, data scientists, designers, and subject matter experts, to deliver impactful products. Responsibilities include structuring, organizing, and challenging teams to achieve their mission, mentoring managers and engineers, influencing technical decisions, building strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to company-wide best practices. While the role does not require hands-on coding, a strong technical background and previous software engineering experience are essential. This position is UK-based, offers flexible and distributed working within the UK, includes visa sponsorship, relocation support, and comes with a competitive salary of £130,000 - £160,000 plus equity and benefits.
