Monzo Bank is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its Machine Learning Platform team within the Platform Collective, responsible for building and maintaining scalable ML infrastructure that supports training, deployment, and serving of machine learning models at scale. The role involves managing a team of 5–7 engineers, ensuring delivery excellence, fostering growth through coaching, and collaborating with ML, Data, and engineering teams to develop efficient tools and frameworks for ML-driven solutions. You’ll shape strategy, maintain technical quality, and help drive adoption of the platform across Monzo. Ideal candidates are strong technical leaders with experience in ML platform development, people management, and large-scale systems, who can operate autonomously in an experimentation-driven environment. Monzo offers visa sponsorship, relocation support, flexible remote work across the UK, and a competitive package including £110,500–£145,000 base salary, stock options, and a £1,000 annual learning budget.
