Orbex is seeking an AIT Engineer to support the assembly, integration, and testing of propulsion, fluid systems, and structural components of the launch vehicle, while also assisting in the design, upgrading, and maintenance of test sites and the spaceport. The role involves designing and commissioning new test benches, leading testing and assembly campaigns, and performing both hands-on and theoretical work. Key responsibilities include planning and executing propulsion and structural launch vehicle tests, handling cryogenic campaigns, designing and maintaining test benches and tooling equipment, providing production support, developing test plans, executing launch vehicle assembly trials, and analyzing test data. Candidates should have an educational background in mechanical, aerospace, industrial, or related engineering disciplines, hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, or cryogenics, and familiarity with process piping engineering, P&IDs, and environmental or propulsion test campaigns. Desirable skills include proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools, simulation tools (e.g., Ecosimpro, Amesim), and testing instrumentation.
