The Electronics Technician will provide high-quality electronics and electrical engineering technical advice and support for research and teaching within the James Watt School of Engineering (JWSE). The role involves designing, constructing, developing, maintaining, and repairing advanced electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical equipment, while ensuring safe and professional standards across laboratories. The technician will support students, researchers, and staff by offering expert technical guidance, proposing solutions, undertaking complex data analysis where required, engaging in skills development for apprentices or work placements, and contributing to the broader objectives of the University. Responsibilities also include managing health and safety compliance, advising on equipment purchases, keeping up to date with new technologies, and collaborating with internal and external partners to enhance research and teaching delivery.
