The Digital Transformation Analyst (KTP Associate) role at Aston University, in partnership with Eye-Docs Limited, is a fixed-term, full-time position based in Solihull, West Midlands, offering a salary between £38,000 and £41,000 per annum for 28 months. This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project aims to digitally transform Eye-Docs’ patient care and referral management by implementing an integrated, automated system that enhances communication, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in integrating the Midlands Connect Portal with Salesforce, enhancing optician engagement, embedding advanced data analytics, and replacing manual workflows with digital processes to streamline patient management. Applicants should hold a degree in Information Systems, Data/Business Analytics, Digital Transformation, or Computer Science, with at least two years of industry experience (a master’s or PhD is desirable). Essential skills include leading IT projects, building and optimising web applications using PHP and MySQL, API development, database design, predictive analytics, and transforming business requirements into actionable insights. Desirable experience includes delivering IT projects in healthcare and managing strategic change. The role involves collaborating with Aston academics and Eye-Docs stakeholders to interpret data requirements, apply predictive analytics and machine learning to drive strategic change, and embed digital maturity within the organisation. Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage complex projects with an agile approach.
