Building Design Partnership (BDP) is seeking a Design Manager (Bid Manager) to join their London Design Management group on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working in Clerkenwell. The successful candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience in the construction or engineering sectors and ideally hold a diploma or degree in architecture, engineering, project management, or a related field. The role involves close collaboration with Project Directors and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-profile projects, managing design activities, tracking progress against schedules and milestones, handling cost and contract liaison, and contributing to project risk registers. Key responsibilities include managing change control processes, communicating design challenges with clients, supporting monthly project reporting, mentoring junior team members, and assisting with bid preparation. Candidates must be highly organized, commercially literate, proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to plan design activities while demonstrating excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
