Orbex is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Assembly Integration and Test (AIT) team in Scotland. In this role, you will design, analyze, and support the manufacturing of launch platform structures and ground system equipment. You will work with a team of specialists across design, composites, analysis, and manufacturing to develop high-precision components for orbital launch systems. Responsibilities include developing structural and mechanical components, performing computational stress and vibration analyses, and supporting prototype development and testing. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX), and proficiency in analytical tools like MATLAB or Simulink. Knowledge of aerospace materials and propulsion systems is an advantage.
