The University of Sussex is seeking a Data Architect to work across projects and initiatives, helping structure and use data effectively to unlock its value for the organization. The role involves working with data models, mappings, standards, reporting, analytics, and AI technologies, providing lead support for data migration and integration projects. The architect will collaborate with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, IT Services colleagues, and wider University stakeholders, contributing to initiatives aligned with the Sussex 2035 strategy. Candidates should have demonstrable experience as a Data Architect or similar role, excellent knowledge of data solutions, models and approaches, strong business and data analysis skills, effective communication abilities, and relevant experience with data processing, reporting, and analytics tools. Knowledge of ER modelling, DAMA-DMBOK, Archimate, BPMN, DMN, TOGAF, and other architecture/process standards is beneficial. Visa sponsorship may be available under the Skilled Worker route.
