This is a newly created role for a Data Scientist to join Costello Medical’s wider Evidence Development team, where you will be responsible for shaping and advancing their data science service offerings. You will work cross-functionally with various teams, including Technology Development (TechDev) and Real-World Evidence (RWE), to lead data science initiatives, develop new machine learning and AI solutions, and build internal databases and tools to solve business problems in the healthcare sector. Responsibilities include implementing data science techniques across business applications, applying NLP methods, processing real-world data from electronic health records and registries, and creating data visualisations. You will also collaborate with TechDev to build a literature management platform and with RWE to maintain a data directory. The role is suitable for experienced data scientists with at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong programming skills (Python, R, SQL), and a background in healthcare data. The position offers flexible hybrid working from either Cambridge or London, UK, with full-time or part-time options, a salary range of £48,000–£55,000 per annum, and full visa sponsorship support for eligible candidates.
