Working within a multidisciplinary team at Dowty Propellers, the Controls Systems Engineer will be responsible for defining, analyzing, and supporting propeller control systems in compliance with industry standards such as ARP4754 and ARP4761. The role includes simulating system performance by integrating propeller, engine, and airframe elements, generating technical requirements for control units, supporting in-service product development, and providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers. The engineer will work closely with customers and suppliers, lead technical activities within project teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires experience in aerospace or automotive control systems, embedded systems, high-integrity safety-critical design, and tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and DOORS. Flexibility is encouraged with options for tailored benefits, and the role may involve occasional overseas travel for integration, testing, and certification.
