King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Chief Technician Data to support data-driven decision-making within the Pharmacy Department by combining responsibilities in business intelligence, data analytics, operations analysis, and digital leadership. The successful candidate will act as the digital and data systems lead, collaborating closely with pharmacy staff, Trust IT, and external vendors to ensure a robust pharmacy informatics infrastructure, maintain high data quality, and promote innovative use of analytics, automation, and digital tools. Responsibilities include designing pharmacy performance dashboards, providing insights on stock optimisation and drug usage, supporting incident investigations, driving digital training and literacy within the department, and leading stakeholder engagement for analytics and system rollouts. The role also involves managing data tools and AI applications, ensuring digital security and governance, contributing to Trust-level reporting and benchmarking, and integrating pharmacy systems with broader Trust platforms. Applicants should be registered Pharmacy Technicians or Pharmacists with significant pharmacy experience and strong skills in SQL and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Python, SSRS), along with knowledge of data science or analytics methodologies. This is a full-time, permanent Band 8a role offering a salary between £61,927 and £68,676 per annum (including HCA), and it is eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
