The Chief Engineer – Power Electronics role at Marcus Webb Associates Limited is a senior technical leadership position within a fast-growing engineering company operating in the electrified propulsion and e-mobility sector, where the successful candidate will act as the technical authority for power electronics design and development. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in power electronics engineering, strong communication skills, and credible experience delivering complex products such as traction inverters, isolated power converters, DC-DC converters, rectifiers, and onboard chargers (OBCs) from concept through to series production across vehicle and transport applications including passenger cars, two- and three-wheelers, off-highway vehicles, marine systems, and UAVs. The Chief Engineer will lead technical direction, support customer engagement, guide design teams, contribute to commercial bids, capture requirements, liaise with senior stakeholders, and represent the company in conferences while staying up to date with emerging technologies such as SiC, GaN, and MLC. Strong academic background and extensive experience in high-power conversion systems (typically 60V to 6kV) are essential.
