Quintessential Design Service Limited (QDSL) is seeking a skilled Charging Engineer to lead the development and delivery of EV charging features in alignment with program and customer requirements. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of charging systems—from defining Feature Strategy & Operational Intent (FSOI) use cases to translating them into system requirements, supporting Human-Machine Interface (HMI) development, and leading design verification (DV) and feature sign-off activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in EV charging technologies and standards such as CCS, ISO 15118, and OCPP, as well as experience in hardware/software integration and validation processes. You will work closely with software, controls, systems, and validation teams to ensure successful integration and delivery of features across disciplines. Proficiency with tools like DOORS, CANoe, JIRA, and Vector tools is essential, along with a track record of engineering delivery in the electric mobility or automotive domain. A minimum of 5 years of experience in charging systems engineering is required, and candidates should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. This position offers a competitive salary, 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), a pension scheme, potential hybrid work options, and UK work visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.
