A leading and expanding wireless communications company, Octagon Group, is looking for a skilled C / C++ Software Engineer to join their team in Cambridge, UK. This role involves the continuous development and maintenance of Linux server applications using C / C++ (17 or later), PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Apache. You will play a key role in optimizing and customizing Linux environments, leveraging the Yocto build system to develop innovative wireless products. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Linux server development, database design, and networking protocols. Additional expertise in Asterisk, WebRTC, SSL, Docker, and mobile app development is a plus. Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates. This is a hybrid role with an attractive salary package ranging from £65K - £75K per year, along with 25 days of annual leave, flexible working patterns, and career growth opportunities.
