As a Business Development Manager – Sub-Saharan Africa at Viridien, you will play a key role in expanding the company’s seismic portfolio and business footprint across the region by supporting and executing strategies for new country entry, identifying key markets, and developing technical solutions tailored to geological and geophysical challenges. You will engage with government entities to foster partnerships, secure permits, and advocate for favorable regulatory frameworks, while building and managing high-level relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry stakeholders, and financial institutions. This role involves leading business development initiatives, including contract negotiations, consortium partnerships, and identifying funding opportunities, as well as monitoring lease sales and client activity. You will collaborate with internal technical, legal, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of projects in new markets, work with sales and technical teams to align new survey developments with client and market demands, and represent Viridien at international conferences, trade missions, and industry forums. The ideal candidate will have a strong network in the Oil & Gas sector, experience in developing and negotiating large, complex seismic programs, a technical understanding of geological and geophysical datasets, excellent organizational and communication skills, and advanced English proficiency. Experience in seismic acquisition, processing, or interpretation and fluency in French are desirable.
