Quintessential Design Service Limited (QDSL) is seeking a skilled Battery Quality Engineer to join its Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) System Quality team in Coventry, UK. The role focuses on resolving design and process quality concerns, validating technical solutions, and ensuring that customer issues are addressed through structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 6 Sigma, and data-driven validation. The engineer will manage IQM projects, lead cross-functional teams, and apply engineering principles to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrences. Key tasks include supporting dealers and service teams, improving diagnostic processes, managing warranty recovery, and contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have experience in electrified propulsion systems, hybrid and electric vehicle technologies, DFMEA, and statistical data analysis. Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as INCA, CANalyser, Matlab, or picoscope is desirable.
