Orbex is seeking a skilled and experienced Avionics AIT Engineer to support Assembly, Integration, Testing, and Validation (AIT/V) activities for avionics systems. The role involves designing and integrating data acquisition systems and Electrical-Ground Support Equipment (E-GSE), executing electrical-avionic testing on launchers and related systems, selecting instrumentation, logging data, and optimizing testing processes. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to specify interfaces, implement PLCs for ground system controls, assist in designing ATEX-compliant systems, and ensure adherence to IPC/WHMA-A-620/ECSS-Q-ST standards. Candidates should have an educational background in Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline, experience in PLC programming, instrumentation selection, data acquisition systems, and electrical schematics (2D/3D, preferably SolidWorks Electrical). Desirable skills include hands-on testing/integration experience, designing ATEX systems, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 qualifications.
