The role of Application Security Engineer within the Product Security team involves conducting thorough security reviews of technical designs, engaging in penetration testing, and leveraging advanced tools like Cloudflare's Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to fortify systems. The engineer will also be responsible for triaging Bug Bounty reports, implementing security best practices throughout the SDLC, and collaborating with development teams to integrate security features seamlessly. This role requires expertise in various security domains, including application, cloud, and mobile security, as well as a deep understanding of threat modelling, penetration testing methodologies, and WAF configuration. The engineer will also engage in researching emerging security threats, maintaining up-to-date security standards, and delivering security training to engineering teams. As part of a dynamic and fast-growing company, the Application Security Engineer will contribute to MoonPay’s mission of securing digital assets and help drive forward the evolution of Web3 infrastructure.
