Orbex is seeking an AIT Engineer to support the assembly, integration, and testing of propulsion, fluid systems, and structural components of the Launch Vehicle, as well as supporting the design, upgrading, and maintenance of test sites, benches, and spaceport facilities. The role involves planning and executing propulsion and structural launch vehicle tests at both component and integrated system levels, handling cryogenic testing campaigns, designing and maintaining test benches and tooling equipment, providing production support, developing and refining test and qualification plans, preparing devices for testing, analyzing test data, conducting Test Readiness and Post-Test Reviews, defining assembly processes, and executing launch vehicle assembly trials and integration. Candidates should have an educational background in mechanical, aerospace, industrial, or related engineering disciplines, with hands-on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, cryogenics, liquid oxygen fluid systems, process piping engineering, P&ID reading and creation, and supporting test campaigns. Additional desirable skills include proficiency in CAD tools like SolidWorks, simulation tools such as Ecosimpro or Amesim, and knowledge of testing instrumentation. The role requires attention to safety, ability to work under pressure, and a combination of hands-on and theoretical expertise.
