Arondite is a defence technology company pioneering the development of foundational software and AI systems to support the autonomous age. The company’s mission is to transform the way organisations collaborate with sensors, robots, and autonomous systems, leveraging the vast amounts of data these systems generate. Arondite is focused on defending democratic values through cutting-edge innovation and believes that a team of elite engineers can drive significant impact. As an AI Research Engineer at Arondite, you will be joining at a critical growth phase, working with a group of talented and driven individuals who thrive on solving complex, high-stakes problems. You will have ownership and autonomy from day one, directly shaping the design, functionality, and direction of Arondite’s AI products. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing AI/ML models, deploying them across core software and edge systems (like drones and ground robots), and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance in real-world defence applications. The role also includes practical challenges such as sourcing data, addressing ethical concerns, and ensuring explainability of AI decisions. Candidates should possess a Master’s or PhD in a related field, along with significant experience in machine learning, computer vision, or robotics. Experience in Python, Rust, C++, or Java and familiarity with tools like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX is expected. Arondite provides a collaborative, mission-focused environment with excellent benefits, including competitive salary, generous equity options, pension contributions, meals, insurance, relocation support, and visa sponsorship for outstanding candidates. The role is hybrid, with in-person collaboration expected at the company’s London office. Candidates should be eligible for UK security clearance due to the nature of defence-related projects.
