Vertex Search is seeking an AI Engineer - Data to join a newly-launched AI startup in London, founded by Oxbridge PhDs with FAANG research lab experience, working on novel forecasting problems. The role focuses on building LLM agents, onboarding new information retrieval sources, creatively finding new forecasting questions for reinforcement learning, and running experiments to evaluate improvements to the forecasting system. Candidates should have strong Python skills, experience sourcing and evaluating datasets, familiarity with LLM agent frameworks such as LangGraph, DSPy, or PydanticAI, and ideally prior experience in a research or lab setting. Additional desirable skills include creating training data for AI/ML models and experience with forecasting. This is a full-time, in-person role in London, Monday to Friday, and the client will consider visa sponsorship for exceptional candidates.
